Stefania's Empanadas: Authentic Argentinian Flavors in McKinney, TX

I came here based on some FB posts and the fantastic reviews. I am not at all disappointed! Walking in, it's a small space, but there are tables if you want to dine in. There are some shelves with Argentinian coffees, teas, cookies, Messi items, and other Argentinian offerings. There's a counter where you can order. They serve empanadas, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. I ordered a couple dozen empanadas to go, plus some chimichurri sauce. Not gonna lie, it's pretty pricey, and I waited over 30 minutes for my order. They checked on me while I waited. Such a great family who owns and runs this place. Okay--I will happily pay their prices and wait as long as I need to get more of this food. WOW! We had the humita (corn), beef (like picadillo), ham and cheese, and gaucho (brisket). Every single one was so savory, with distinct flavors, in a perfectly baked flaky pastry. The lumita and gaucho are my favorite. Omg. So freaking good.

Everything was absolutely amazing! You can tell how much love and care goes into every detail, even the little papers and presentation were so cute. The Alfajorcito latte was heavenly (sweet and perfectly balanced), and the smoked Capresse empanada was my favorite, so flavorful and fresh! The atmosphere feels welcoming, and everything tasted homemade in the best way. The owners were so sweet- a lot of places lack that! I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I’ll give a 10/10 to this gem in McKinney! Absolutely wonderful experience! Stefania’s Empanadas is more than just amazing food, it’s a reflection of the heart behind it. The owner, Stefania, and her family are some of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met. Every single thing they make, from their delicious empanadas to their treats and sweets, is full of love, flavor, and that authentic Argentinian taste that’s hard to find anywhere else. You can truly feel the warmth and tradition in every bite. Highly recommend supporting this beautiful family and their incredible food!

For an Argentinian whose been far from home for a while, this place is literally a warm hug from your roots, every grandma meal you tasted on Sunday lunch and those great dinners with friends you missed so much. Stef, her husband and mother are so welcoming and kind. And the food!!!!!! I tried the sanguchitos de miga and almost brought me to tears. I had the limito that day and goodness it was AMAZING!!!! My friend tried the milanesa sandwich and of course, I had a bite and everything was just perfectly seasoned, the bread was fresh and fluffy. I left with some stuff from the groceries she sells to restock myself as well. Come to this place, you won’t regret it!!!

This was such a warm and welcoming experience. Stefania greeted me with a smile and walked me through the menu, and I settled on the Pastel de Papas, a dish that is both perfect for the season and for my appetite. Tastes with origins of Argentina, flavorful and hearty. Stop in for a coffee and empanadas! You’ll leave with your heart and tummy filled.

Amazing! I got a milanesa sandwich with a side of zucchini and an autumn empanada. While I sat and waited for for food and sipping on a sparking water, I got to chat with the owners. This is a family owned and run small business that has poured hours of hard work and passion into making this lovely cafe. You can see it in the decorations around the cafe and you can taste it in the food! It was so good, I had to peak at their dessert counter! I ended up buying several of each variety of desserts they had. They look amazing and will be perfect treats for my friends at work! I know I will be back so I snapped a picture of their business card to share on socials. This place is a must try!

They steal the show—Oscar, Grammy, *all* the awards! My absolute favorites are the **chicken ones** (and please, don’t skip the chimichurri!). The atmosphere is spectacular: cozy decor, soft music, and a little Argentine pantry stocked with dulce de leche, alfajores (OMG heaven) and of course, **mate**—a must on any true Argentine table. Absolutely amazing place! Everything is perfect — the environment is cozy and welcoming, super clean, and it truly feels like a little corner of Argentina. The empanadas are delicious, the coffee is great, and they even sell yerba and other typical Argentine products that are hard to find. A beautiful spot run with heart. Highly recommend! ????????
